We greatly value you and your well being and always want you to have the best experience possible. Therefore, we highly recommend purchasing travel insurance to protect your investment and assist with any unforeseen and unexpected travel delays or interruptions. Especially when traveling internationally and your domestic health insurance may not provide coverage. Unfortunately, we have seen first hand how friends and family have lost money when not insured due to missed flights, or a sudent sickness or accident affecting them or their immediate family and had to cancel their trips. You buy auto, home and health insurance to protect yourselfs and investment and this is the same mindset for buying travel insurance. We purchase travel insurance ourselves for every major trip for our own well being and peace of mind.
A travel insurance plan can cover you for unexpected costs incurred before or during your trip. So that costs are less likely to come out of your own pocket, a travel insurance plan can reimburse you for the pre-paid, non-refundable portions of a trip if you need to cancel or interrupt your trip for a covered reason. A travel insurance plan can also include medical evacuation coverage (the price of which may cost upwards $100,000) and medical expense coverage, plus reimbursement for lost, damaged or stolen luggage and personal effects.
Most travel insurance plans also include 24/7 assistance services to rebook flights and hotels on your behalf and act as a personal travel assistant while you are away from home. As with all travel insurance plans, always carefully read each DOC (description of coverage) to learn the boundaries
of your coverage before purchasing the plan.
Our preferred and trusted Travel Insurance Carrier is TravelGuard. They have been in business for a long time with a good track record and backed by a financially strong underwriter.

Tips and FAQ's when purchasing travel insurance
1) What do I need to purchase a travel insurance policy online?
Before purchasing, please have the following information handy:
Personal information for all travelers who will be insured, including dates of birth.
Trip details, including dates of travel, destination, travel companies you will be using, total trip cost and how that cost is broken down per person in your itinerary.
2) Can I purchase travel insurance if I am not on a cruise or tour?
Yes, travel insurance can protect you and cover your losses for all kinds of mishaps when traveling.
These can include lost convention or conference registration fees and most out of pocket documented services that were lost. If you are traveling out of the country we highly recommend you have a travel insurance policy to assist with any medical emergencies or accidents to help pay for any gaps in coverage that you regular health insurance does not cover. Travel insurance also provides very helpful travel concierge service so will have immediate assistance in case something happens when traveling.
3) What is Deposit Date?
Deposit date is the day on which you made your first payment toward the trip. If you wish to add the additional "Cancel For Any Reason" coverage most insurance companies require that insurance is paid in full within 15 days of your initial trip deposit date.
4) When is it too late to purchase travel insurance?
Insurance can be purchased up to 24 hours prior to trip departure date.
5) How do I break down trip costs per person in my itinerary?
Claims are paid per person up to the amount insured. You should divide the cost of the trip per person according to what each person paid. If tickets are paid for by one member of your group, that person should be assigned the cost. If a particular trip cost includes all travelers, then that cost can be divided among those members equally.
Note that if you are traveling with children their total costs may be less than the adults as they may have reduced child cruise fares and other reduced costs for hotels and tours, etc.. Also, with Travel Guard Insurance children 17 and under traveling with a parent are provided complimentary coverage.
6) Your shopping cart only has one field for destination but I am traveling to multiple destinations?
You can choose the main or one of your destinations for the field. There is no need to place all destinations into the shopping cart.
7) What if my airline or cruise line is not listed on the menu?
Simply select "unlisted" from the airline listing. You can then type in the name of your airline into the box that will appear.
